Calgary, AB (January 26, 2021) –  Cavalry FC confirms the following players will not return to the roster for 2021: Dominick Zator (CAN), Jonathan “Jay” Wheeldon (CAN), Bruno Zebie (CAN) and Dean Northover (CAN).

Wheeldon is an A-Licensed coach and will be focusing on his coaching career to help produce the next crop of local players. Zator declined the club’s contract extension to explore free agency, whilst Zebie did not have his 2021 option taken by the club. Northover will be retiring from professional football to focus on other career pathways.

“I’ve worked with each of these players for many years and can’t thank them enough for what they’ve helped build here in Calgary and their contributions to the growth of the Canadian Premier League.  The world we live in now is an extremely challenging one where lots of sacrifices have been made by many.  Wherever they go next in their lives, I’m sure they will add value to that environment with their character and capability.”
