Update on Pre-Season Injuries

Calgary, AB (April 8, 2022) – The following is a Cavalry FC update relating to the current injury status of players who have sustained injuries during 2022 preseason training. None will be able to start the season on the active roster.

 

Injury Assets

Goalkeeper Tyson Farago (CAN) is suffering from a back injury as a result of being in a car accident during the off-season. Farago’s return to play is undetermined at this stage.

Tom Field (ENG) recently suffered damage to his knee during a pre-season training session. The left-back will undergo the necessary surgery and rehabilitation process to return to the field as soon as possible.

 

Injury Assets3

Joe Di Chiara (CAN) recently suffered damage to his MCL during a pre-season training session. He has a 12-16 week recovery period ahead of him, and is expected back on the pitch before the end of the season.

 

Injury Assets4

Anthony Novak (CAN) recently suffered damage to his ACL during a pre-season training session. The striker will undergo the necessary surgery and rehabilitation process to return to the field as soon as possible.

The club will continue to support players through their recovery and rehabilitation process as they pursue a full return to play in due course.
