What is the Concacaf Champions Cup?

To put it simply, the Concacaf Champions Cup is the biggest tournament in the continent. For our soccer connoisseurs, think of the UEFA Champions League, but in North & Central America, and the Caribbean.

FUN FACT: Concacaf is an abbreviation and is short for the “Confederation of North & Central America and Caribbean Association Football” and represents the official governing body of soccer for all of the region.

The competition is made up of the top 27 clubs from across the continent, all of which qualify as being among the best in their respective leagues. Cavalry qualified after reaching the 2024 CPL Final and being crowned Champions.

Why should I be excited about it?

Cavalry is now in the same conversation as some of the biggest clubs in the world.

You’ve probably heard of Lionel Messi – you’ve certainly heard of the FIFA World Cup. What if we told you that a handful of World Cup winners will be competing in the competition? If you’re not excited yet, what if we mentioned that we could be playing in a 2026 FIFA World Cup stadium, giving you a taste of what to expect when our men’s national team takes the world stage in 2026.

There are many elements that make this tournament special. An international, single knock-out, home and away ‘tournament-of-champions’ makes the CONCACAF Champions Cup unlike any other sporting event on this continent.
