Community

We know that we have a platform as a professional soccer club, and we’re committed to using that platform to give back. We’ve partnered with the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation to support local charities and organizations and we’re always looking for ways to make a positive impact.

Community Camps & Programs

When we host soccer camps for kids, we’re not just teaching them how to play the game – we’re helping to build their confidence, teach them valuable life skills, and give them a positive outlet for their energy. We’re proud to see the impact that our camps have on young athletes, and we’re always looking for ways to expand our reach and provide more opportunities for kids to get involved in the sport.

Overall, our community involvement is a core part of who we are at Cavalry FC. We believe that by working together with our partners in the community, we can make a real difference and help to build a better future for everyone.

Women for Men's Health

The Women for Men’s Health Group was established in 2016. Over the past eight years, the organization has raised more than 2.1 million fundraising dollars that have been dedicated to imperative men’s health initiatives that span across psychological, social, and medical domains. In February 2022, Cavalry FC goalkeeper Marco Carducci was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Since then, Carducci has been an advocate and ambassador for men’s health and health awareness – which has formed a strong connection between the club and Women For Men’s Health.

Lucy Tries Soccer

Mission:

Inspiring children to be active and try sport, so they can lead healthier and happier lives. An important element of our Education Program is the Lucy Tries Soccer initiative. Lucy Tries Soccer connects children with athletic role models, promotes diversity and inclusivity, encourages children to read, reinforces the benefits of being active and inspires children to try sports, so that they can lead healthier, more engaged, and happier lives. Lucy Tries Soccer supports the physical and emotional well-being of children, as well as their reading literacy by using positive sport, education, and social experiences.

Cavalry FC, in partnership with ATCO, Marmot Construction, Lisa Bowes (the author of Lucy Tries Soccer) and the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation are currently bringing Lucy Tries Soccer into the community and classrooms in a safe and effective manner in 2022. We went to 8 schools in the October – December period to share the excitement and fun of playing sports with kids
